We were so saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. We only knew her for a few short years but she made a wonderful impression on us as a dear friend and next door neighbour to Gordon's mom at Spruce Terrace. May she be peacefully rewarded for her kindness through the years.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Margaret.... I loved waiting on her when I was working at RBC... She was always just so pleasant and organized and loved to have a chat.... She was just the sweetest lady and so soft spoken... She will be missed and I pass along my sincere sympathy to all the family...
Take Care

Gramma sent me letters in her beautiful handwriting almost every week in the 12 years I've lived away from home. They had clippings from the Stettler Paper, magazine recipes, Coffee News jokes, and inspirational quotes.
"Kindness is like snow–it beautifies everything it touches"
"Orlando man suspects burglar, calls police on Roomba"
"My horse's name is Mayo. Sometimes mayo neighs"
Her love and generosity were pure, and I was reminded of them every time I saw a sticker-covered letter on my doormat, no matter where in the world I was.
She lived with qualities the world needs more of;
Humility and humour,
Empathy and care,
Patience.
She was social, and she always had time for a visit. But she never liked being the centre of attention. In her passing, join me in celebrating her in the way she deserves but never would have appreciated:
by shining light on her beauty and
honoring how
she touched the lives of everyone around her
for better.

Q: What will you never forget about Margaret?
A: I met Margaret while visiting Gayle at her house in Devon. We were a group of 4 friends that regularly met at Gayle's with our spouses and children enjoying home cooked meals, music, literature and glasses of wine. Margaret would be present on special occasions and I have felt the warmth of a caring mother in her company. She was a good listener, eager to learn more about me as a person and always validated me and my son in her presence. Her memory would remain forever when I think of Gayle and Devon, AB. Let her rest in peace in God's arms. My heartfelt condolences to Gayle and family.

I roomed across from Margaret and Agnes at Pembina Hall at U of A and we have remained in touch all these years.
Often on trips from Stavely to Sherwood Park we would stop for a visit at the farm. Later in Stettler she continued to offer such warm hospitality and to share her many anecdotes and interests. She took great pride in the activities of her grandchildren. I will miss those visits.

Gayle, Peggy, Walter and extended family. Our family is so incredibly sad for your loss. Your Mom was a shining light in everyone's life she touched. She always took a genuine interest in people wanting to know where life was leading them. As a little girl and as shy as I was, your Mom always made me feel welcome and I remember many good times at your farm and all the luscious baking we ate at Grandmas house, Mmmm, so good! We as young families used to visit back and forth and later in life our parents enjoyed an Alaskan cruise together...your Dad was as hard to get off the farm as ours was but they were great travel companion with many similar likes. Mom, and I, enjoyed going upstairs to visit at Points West, sitting around with Gayle and your Mom reminiscing and eating a delectable treat a couple times. I'm so glad we had this time with your Mama, she was truly a kind and gentle soul and her impact in my life will always be remembered. Rest in Peace Margaret

Mrs. Sacuta (she told me all the time to call her Margaret but I never could...) was such a gentle, kind, and patient soul. Teaching little 5 year old, she would have to be! I am her former student from around '90-'91...the last year in the building that was not connected to the Byemoor School. I had lots of fond memories as one of her last classes.
Later into my adulthood, Mrs. Sacuta would always say hi to me and we would catch up a bit. She was happy when Grandma and Grandpa Grams (Jack and Vi) moved to Stettler because she got to visit with Grandma. When Grandma was going some illnesses where she would have to be hospitalized, Mrs. Sacuta always called me and asked how Grandma was doing.
She loved meeting my two boys and she liked getting my life updates and just taking interest in her former student's life.
My condolences to Mrs. Sacuta's family. Her absence will definitely leave a hole in our hearts to all who knew her.
