Thinking of my Gerber cousins today and through this time, my condolences. I enjoyed riding horses and other summer fun with Bill and Jim at Aunt Peggy & Uncle Ernie’s when we were children. Thank you for sharing your home and adding fun to my childhood.

Auntie Peggy cheered a room with her laughter, her conversation was sharp, and her piano playing was delightful. Auntie Peggy was not afraid to work, and she did efficiently each day to accomplish her desired outcomes. I admired her strength, beauty, honesty and commitment, and her respect for all that she loved and appreciated in her life. Through thick and thin she was an amazing person. She loved each of her children and grandchildren very much. Rest in peace.

Kathy and I extend our deep condolences to you all.
No matter how old your parent is, I know the death is difficult.
We always want them to be around for a longer time. Fond memories can help us get through some of the difficult times, and give us some peace and comfort.
Several that stand out for me;
Your mother’s zest for life, it seems to me she was “all in”, a great role model for what we should strive for!
As an animal lover myself, I admired how she cared about and for her cattle and horses, a strong bond that I’m sure was reciprocated many times.
Like my siblings, I also fondly recall her love of dancing…her enthusiasm was very enjoyable to behold.
She will be dearly missed by many.
May you all be blessed with peace and comfort during this difficult time.

In the summer of 1974 after graduating, I was offered an opportunity to work on the Gerber farm. There were many long days spent outside doing a variety of jobs and I really enjoyed spending time with this amazing family.
Aunt Peggy encouraged me to take business courses which I started in November. With many "Thanks" to Aunt Peggy, I left their home with confidence, self esteem and determination to make the move to Red Deer.
Red Deer became my home, which will be 50 years in November, and I have always remembered these valuable tools that remain with me today. I was always "Welcomed" back to their home for visits and usually left with some home grown vegetables, fruit or baking.
We kept up a great relationship throughout these years with many visits in person or on the phone.
Remembering You Always,
Beth
